Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2, 2026

This is a draft template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it before you rely on it — especially the governing-law and liability sections, which need to be filled in for your actual business entity and jurisdiction.

1. What EmuTrainer is

EmuTrainer is a desktop application that reads and writes the memory of emulator processes running locally on your own computer, to enable optional cheat features (e.g. modifying health, currency, or ammo values) in games you already own and are running through that emulator.

2. No game or ROM distribution

EmuTrainer does not provide, host, distribute, or link to copyrighted game files, ROM images, disc images, or console BIOS files. You are solely responsible for legally obtaining any game software you use with an emulator and for complying with copyright law in your jurisdiction. We do not verify how you obtained any game and take no position on it beyond requiring that you affirm you have the legal right to use it.

3. No affiliation

EmuTrainer is an independent, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any other console manufacturer or game publisher referenced by name for compatibility purposes. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

4. Single-player / offline use only

EmuTrainer is intended for single-player or offline use. Using memory-editing tools in online or multiplayer contexts may violate the terms of service of the game or platform in question and can result in account bans unrelated to EmuTrainer. You use EmuTrainer in online contexts entirely at your own risk.

5. License to use the software

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use EmuTrainer on devices you own or control. Paid ("Pro") tiers unlock additional features tied to your account and license key; license keys are personal and may not be resold, shared, or redistributed.

6. Acceptable use

7. Billing and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and retain access through the end of the current billing period. If you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your original purchase by emailing hello@emutrainer.com. Refund requests after 14 days, and requests for partial/unused time on a billing period outside that window, are handled at our discretion.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

EmuTrainer is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Editing a running game's memory carries inherent risk, including but not limited to save-file corruption, crashes, or unexpected game behavior. Back up your saves before use. We are not liable for lost progress, corrupted saves, or damage to your emulator setup.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmuTrainer and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms. You may stop using EmuTrainer and cancel your subscription at any time.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.

13. Copyright complaints

If you believe content associated with EmuTrainer infringes your copyright, contact us at hello@emutrainer.com with the details of the claim.
